A complete website redesign for one of South Cumbria's largest and longest-established construction companies — built to reflect their eight decades of expertise and their standing in the industry.
Leck Construction Ltd has been building across South Cumbria since 1946. NHBC Grade A rated, ISO 9001:2015 certified, CHAS accredited — their credentials are impeccable. Their website wasn't.
The existing site failed to communicate the scale and professionalism of a company delivering major contracts for organisations like GlaxoSmithKline and BAE Systems. It didn't reflect the breadth of their five specialist sectors, and offered no coherent way for prospective clients to understand their work.
The brief was clear: a complete ground-up redesign. Something built for the weight of the name — authoritative, detailed, and easy to navigate.
Dedicated pages for each specialism: Strategic Partnerships, Commercial & Education & Health, Industrial & Civil Engineering, Heritage Conservation, Private & Social Housing, and Leck Homes — each with its own photography and project examples.
Leck Homes is a distinct sub-business within Leck Construction — residential development with its own identity and audience. It has a dedicated page and sits as a separate call-to-action in the navigation, positioned to speak directly to buyers rather than commercial clients.
A filterable gallery of completed projects — from the Emlyn Hughes Arena in Cleator Moor to bespoke homes, NHS facilities, and industrial piling contracts across the North West.
A prominent credentials bar immediately below the hero — displaying 70+ years established, NHBC Grade A, ISO 9001:2015, CHAS Accredited, and NFB Member status. Trust signals, front and centre.
A dedicated section highlighting long-term measured-term contracts with GlaxoSmithKline and BAE Systems — communicating the scale of work they're trusted to deliver.
A page outlining Leck's commitment to quality, safety culture, and community — backed by their certification history and the people who have kept the business growing across eight decades.
Leck's existing brand uses a deep navy and corporate blue palette — we kept it, sharpened it, and built a typographic system around Inter at heavy weights that communicates confidence without shouting.
The 3px blue border along the top of the navigation is a subtle but consistent detail carried through the credentials strip and section dividers — a visual thread that ties every page together.
All photography is sourced from real project sites — no stock imagery. The site only works because the work speaks for itself.
